Shawna is a "Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed" (CPDT-KA) and a graduate of Animal Behavior College dog trainer program. This means she is certified by both the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers via an extensive examination and Animal Behavior College via an extensive examination and mentor program. She is also a big advocate for continue education and is always taking a course or attending a conference to add to her knowledge. In 2019 she completed her certificate of completion in Aggression in Dogs and continues her studies in this area along with attending their annual conference in 2020. She is also diving into a technique called Controlled Unleashed that helps in creating a focused and confident dog, these techniques can be used in many ways from building foundation work in puppies, preparing a dog for sports and even aggression issues. She just attended their first annual conference and can't wait to dive in and share this new knowledge with you all.
Shawna works with all breeds at all stages of life specializing in varying levels of aggression whether it is dog-dog or dog-human situations. She also loves to work with crazy puppies to adolescent dogs that need a variety of core manners to be able to have a skill set for good manners out in public or build a foundation for dog sports. No matter what issues you face or goals you have Shawna will create the perfect training program to help you achieve your goals.
Shawna resides in Everett with her husband Dave, and their menagerie: A Boxer/Lab/Pit/Rottweiler mix named Triton, Maya an American Bulldog, and a Bengal mix cat named Stewie. In her downtime you can find her meditating, reading, working on a puzzle (Thanks COVID) exploring the cascades and enjoying time with friends and family.

Hi! I am Allison Wren. I have been married to my husband for 30+ years, and we have two children together. I have lived in Washington State my entire life and currently reside in Arlington, Wa. Although both our grown children still reside with us, they are eager to begin the next chapter in their lives, and I see them moving out very soon. This will leave Don and I empty nesters. Thank goodness we have our 2yr. old faux Frenchton, Lucy Lou. She helps keep us entertained and happy with her antics! I have been a Preschool teacher for the last 13 years. Although I truly have enjoyed teaching our littles, this year I decided it was time for a new challenge. I am very excited to see what the next chapter in my life will bring both myself and my family.
If I’m not learning something new, I am after all a teacher, I can usually be found at home. I love to cook, entertain my family and friends, decorate, garden and just putter around my home. Living in the PNW all of my life, I have have a huge interest in camping and hiking. This also comes with cheering on the Seahawks and the college my daughter went to which was WSU. For my little Frenchie, walks and treats are a must. I am so excited to join this community and look forward to meeting both you and your fur babies in the future. |

Dog Trainer & pawTree petPro |
My interest in dog training started when I rescued my first dog in 2011. I took him to multiple dog trainers and they had all advised us to put him down because he was “too aggressive”. During my free time I started doing research on training methods and aggressive dogs to help my own dog.
I continued his training on my own and became interested in becoming a dog trainer as my future job. In 2020 I finally had the opportunity to start my education in dog training at Animal Behavior College. I hope to continue my education in the coming years. My hope is to eventually specialize in working with aggressive and reactive dogs. Most of my downtime is spent with my dogs- Huck my mini Australian Shepherd. I love to spend time training Huck, either in tricks or managing his aggression or playing disc. I love to spend my time hiking, doing nature/animal photography and reading. |
