Set Your Puppy Up for Success with Pet Coach to the Rescue Classes

There is nothing more exciting than bringing home a new puppy. Set them up for a lifetime of success with our adolescent dog and puppy training in Lynnwood, WA! We cover many topics in our classes and also offer Q & A time too, so you can get the expert support you need to help you solve both common and uncommon behavioral issues. We can also help your dog become comfortable with basic grooming and handling activities, and also teach both the standard and not-so-standard obedience cues.


Set Your Adolescent Dog Up for Success

In our adolescent class, you get to create a custom 6-week training program for your dog! You’ll identify your top three goals for taking the class, along with any long-term goals you have for your dog. Our certified trainers will break down those goals into achievable steps to help you and your dog reach your goals. Give us a call today with questions.

What Your Pet Will Learn In Our Classes

Upon completing the 6-week or 12-week course you will have a solid understanding of how your dog learns, how to increase criteria, what motivates your puppy to want to work with you, and how to solve basic undesired behaviors. Our curriculum for puppy training in Everett, WA includes the following:


Puppy Basics:


  • “Sit” and “down” 
  • Recall (15’-30’) 
  • Hand and object targeting 
  • “Drop it” and “leave it” 
  • “Up” and “off” 
  • Focus games including the up and down game, ping-pong game, and name game 


Leash Skills:


  • Click and treat
  • “Side” cue
  • “Go sniff” cue
  • “With me” cue
  • Cone weaving
  • Station training
  • “Stay” and “wait”
  • Door manners
  • Start buttons
  • Encouraging relaxation
  • Leash-walking exercises including the 1-2-3 game, super bowls game, super bowls U-turn, decompression and sniff walks


Grooming and Handling:


  • Harnessing up
  • Collar and harness grab
  • Leashing and unleashing
  • Body petting to facilitate easy grooming (paws, tail, muzzle, ears, etc.)

Puppy and Adolescent Class Times

For both puppy and adolescent classes, we offer as many classes as needed to meet demand.

Puppy Class Times:


Age: 8 weeks to 6 months


Tuesday 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm instructor is Shawna

Thursday 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm instructor is Shawna

Saturday 11:30 am to 12:30 pm instructor is Shawna

Adolescent Class Times:


Age: 6 months to 3 years


Tuesday 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm instructor is Shawna

Thursday 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm instructor is Shawna

FAQs About Puppy and Adolescent Classes

  • Who can attend puppy classes?

    Our puppy classes are designed for dogs ages 8 weeks to 6 months. For our human attendees, we allow up to two handlers per dog. 

  • How are puppy classes organized?

    All puppy classes are limited to 4 puppies. When we group puppies together, we take into account their breed, size, age, and play styles in order to allow for proper play between the puppies. In some cases, we may recommend that a puppy join one of our adolescent class times for a more appropriate fit. 

  • What if I can't make it to a class?

    We allow 1 “skip week” per 6-week package. 

  • What if my puppy has trouble in class?

    If your puppy for has a hard time in the group setting, we will reschedule you for private sessions at our Everett facility with Jacey or Tami at no additional cost.

  • Do you have wait lists for your classes?

    We offer a rolling start in all of our puppy classes, which means that you will typically be able to start within 2 weeks of reaching out.

  • How much do puppy/adolescent classes cost?

    Puppy packages

    6-week package: $225.00 

    12-week package: $450.00  


    Adolescent

    6-week package: $265.00
